Austin Aquatics and Sports Academy has assembled a world-class team of experts that share our mission, goals, and vision to see each person reach their potential.  Our goal is to bring in accomplished, well-educated, enthusiastic, and committed coaches.

JENN REINHART

DIRECTOR OF TRIATHLON

Jennifer Reinhart grew up near Cincinnati, Ohio and went on to swim for Purdue University. While at Purdue, she graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering and grew to love coaching age group swimmers! Jen worked as a chemical engineer for 12 years then chose to stay home with her 3 young children; this allowed Jen to begin coaching swimmers and triathletes. Jenn has over 35 years triathlon and Masters swimming experience, and 15+ years coaching experience. Jenn is a 12 x USA Triathlon/Aquathlon All-American, 4 x Ironman All World Athlete, (with a 1st ranking in 2015 for the F55-59 age group,) and 7 x Kona Ironman World Championships finisher. Jen applies her passion and enthusiasm for triathlon to coaching, allowing athletes to progress their fitness and love of the sport!

NATE CHESSEY

HEAD MASTERS COACH/
AGE GROUP SWIM COACH

Nate Chessey graduated with an MS in Sport Performance and a BA with a concentration in Sports Nutrition and has been involved with competitive swimming for the past 17 years. While attending Graduate School at Springfield College, he coached both the college team and local club team. His last six years has been spent in San Diego as an age group coach with a team of over 700+ swimmers. In addition to the continued tradition of excellence in the water, he’s presented research projects and established network connections with the top performing programs in the US.

HAYLEY KRZECZOWSKI

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

Hayley earned her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Iowa State University where she was also a four-year member of the Iowa State Women’s swim team. While at Iowa State, Hayley earned NSCA All-American honors in strength and conditioning. Before coming to AASA, Hayley served as a sports performance coach in Park City, Utah working with a wide variety of athletes ranging from youth, to Paralympic, to professional. While in Utah, she also assisted in coaching the Park City High School swim team to a Utah State Championship. Hayley’s athletic training knowledge and swimming background led her to Austin where she is excited to enhance our strength and dryland programs.

CHRIS COGHILL

MASTERS COACH/
AGE GROUP SWIM COACH

Chris Coghill was the Head Assistant Coach at Machine Aquatics, a 900 swimmer-multi-site team around the Washington DC area, and was instrumental in the establishment of their new site at the University of Maryland. Prior to his time with Machine Aquatics, Chris swam for St. Mary’s College of Maryland where he was team captain his last two years. Chris reached the podium at the Capital Athletic Conference meet 3 times, and was a regular scoring member of the team. Chris has long been serious about his passion for swimming, and is excited to help others find that enjoyment and satisfaction.

TONY CARRASQUILLO

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

Tony Carrasquillo grew up in Boston, Massachusetts where he has played almost every sport under the sun. He was a Health and Wellness Coordinator for the YMCA of Greater Boston where he mentored staff members, developed new curriculum and ran the facility maintenance.  It is through ACTION that Tony received his personal trainer certification and focus within nutrition.  Tony found his passion for fitness due to having his own injures and limitations. As a young adult he tore his ACL and also fractured his Thoracic Spine, he was unsure if he would ever walk again. It was through this hardship that he learned the value of fitness, consistency and hard work. Tony now enjoys pushing his own limits by training to compete in a Men’s Physique Competition and preparing for American Ninja Warrior.

MISSY KUCK

MASTERS COACH/
AGE GROUP SWIM COACH

Missy Kuck is a pediatric occupational therapist by education and professional work background. Missy swam at the Ohio State University in college where she was team Captain for 2 years and competed at NCAA’s and US Nationals. In addition for the last 20 years Missy has competed in triathlons and currently holds her Professional/Elite triathlete card. Missy has also been privileged to assist in the reintegration process with the Wounded Warrior Regiment at Camp Pendleton for the past 4 years as an assistant swimming and multisport coach at Marine Corps Trials, Warrior Games, and the Invictus Games in London.

MATT BYRD

MASTERS COACH / AGE GROUP SWIM COACH
Matt graduated with his Masters Degree in Sports Management from Georgetown earlier this summer while working in DC. Prior to Georgetown he swam at the University of North Carolina Wilmington where he was a captain his senior year. He played a vital role in leading a campaign to save the team from being cut from the athletic department prior to his Senior year. After UNCW he came back to the DC area and coached a year at Machine Aquatics with Coach Chris and then two years at Nations Capital Swim Club. He has primarily worked with 11-14 year olds, but has experience assisting at all levels of the sport. Matt’s an avid triathlete, loves open water swimming and is huge Baltimore sports fan.

ADRIAN DAMASCO

MASTERS COACH/
AGE GROUP SWIM COACH

Adrian is an experienced USA Swimming coach producing multiple junior national qualifiers at different programs throughout his career. Adrian has vast experience building programs from the ground level to prominent organizations. Previous to accepting his position with Austin Swim Club, he served as Los Angeles Swim Club’s Associate Head Coach/Head Age Group Coach for the past three years. During his tenure, the age group and senior programs thrived under his guidance – coaching numerous athletes to Junior Olympic Titles, USA Swimming national top 10 times, Far Western Champions, Sectional/Junior National/Olympic Trials qualifiers. Outside of the pool, he has been named to numerous USA Swimming National Select Camp staffs, LSC Zone Team and All-Star Squads. Coach Adrian’s philosophy is to prepare each swimmer for the next level, keeping the sport fun and continue to instill ASC’s core values.

LIZ ZAMAGNI

MASTERS COACH/
AGE GROUP SWIM COACH

Elizabeth Zamagni (Liz) grew up in Boston, Massachusetts where she swam for Simmons College while receiving her Dual Masters Degree in Elementary and Special Education. She was a NCAA qualifier and all scholastic collegiate athlete for all four years. She went on to coach for 8 different swim teams ranging from age group, masters and triathlon swimming within the greater Boston area. To continue her knowledge of athletics Liz became a certified Personal Trainer/Nutrition Coach with ISSA, pursued certifications in Pre & Post Natal, Viper Training, Stick & Acumobility Trainings and became a Certified Water Aerobics Instructor with ASFA. She is a dedicated athlete within her own fitness program where she enjoys Yoga, Bare, Pilates, Strength and TRX training. Liz is a Boston girl at heart and so love to cheer on her local sports teams. She believes with dedication, determination and commitment anything is possible!

JACKIE BEAL

MASTERS COACH / AGE GROUP SWIM COACH
Jackie grew up swimming in the Pacific Northwest, where she excelled at backstroke and IM from an early age. She took her talents to Whitworth University, where she became a captain, a national level competitor in her events, school record holder, and Northwest Conference Swimmer of the Year two years running. She graduated from Whitworth in three years with a B.A. in Health Science and worked in a physical therapy clinic until she was accepted to PT School at the University of St. Augustine. Jackie taught swim lessons through high school and college and has been lifeguard certified for just as long. She’s enthusiastic about each practice she coaches; you can find her in the gym helping with dryland, on deck alongside Coach Missy and Coach Jenn, in the pool during the early morning, or from time to time on the lifeguard stand.

PAUL MATTHEWS

TRIATHLON COACH

Paul grew up in the small town of Murwillumbah just south of Gold Coast in Australia.  He competed in his first triathlon when he was 7, and raced in his first professional race at 17.  He has raced all over the world including winning the very first 70.3 in the UK in 2005.  Over the course of his career, Paul has placed 6th at the 70.3 World Champs in 2011, 14th at the IRONMAN World Champs 2014, 2nd at the Asia/Pacific IRONMAN Champs in a Personal Record of 8:02:14, won 4×70.3s, had 11 podiums in the 70.3 distance and 2 in the IRONMAN distance.  Paul has been coaching the last couple years and loves passing on the knowledge he has learned over his 18yr career to his athletes.

JEANIE JOSEPH

BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER

Jeanie grew up in Tucson, AZ where she competed in both swimming, and synchronized swimming.  Jeanie went on to swim for the University of Arizona’s synchronized swimming team, while earning a degree in Media Arts.  A few years after graduating college, Jeanie moved to Southern California and began professionally synchronized swimming for a team called Aqualillies; you can see her work in movies, tv shows, and music videos.  Jeanie moved to Austin in 2015, and has been with AASA since 2018. Jeanie is still an avid swimmer and member of AASA’s Masters swimming group; you can come to her for any marketing or administrative needs!
