Randy Warming Up Before an Academy Group Ride
Here at Austin Aquatics and Sports Academy, we strive to provide an elite experience for people of all backgrounds and experience levels. Randy Stringer wasn’t new to triathlon, but he was returning after a long hiatus. Like most of us, new family and work demands kept him away from giving him the type of training he was craving and needing. That is, until he found AASA.
This weekend, Randy is racing the infamous Vineman 70.3 race out in Sonoma! It’s a beautiful Half Ironman that starts with a swim in the Russian River, a bike through wine country and a half marathon through the vineyards of famous wineries.
Here’s what he has to say about his experience:
“I’ve been training with Austin Aquatics and Sports Academy for almost three months now, after a miserable off season. Natasha Van Der Merwe and the staff there were very thorough in the set-up of my training going forward. My goals, expectations, and paces were all discussed, and factored in at my initial consultation. I am amazed at the progress in just a short amount of time while here! My swim, bike and run, all having massive drops in time, with very clear and precise workouts emailed to me every week on the dot. I have trained at other facilities here in Austin, and with various teams, but nothing comes close to the level of expertise and knowledge of Austin Aquatics and Sports Academy. There is a level for everyone here, and one of the big differences to a team or other groups I have been to. If you have a race coming up, or just some goals you would like to achieve, do yourself a huge favor and join this friendly team! You wont be sorry!”
